MANILA, Philippines 鈥� President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday stressed the importance of a 鈥渨hole-of-government鈥� approach in addressing Filipinos鈥� needs.

Marcos made the pronouncement during the launch of the 鈥楾rabaho at Serbisyong Pangkalusugan sa Bagong Pilipinas鈥� job fair in Dasmari帽as Cavite.

In his speech, Marcos noted that the job fair is a pivotal part of the government鈥檚 鈥渨hole-of-government鈥� approach to assisting Filipinos.

鈥淎lam niyo po ang nangyari po sa ating pamahalaan ngayon, ang aming ginagawa ay kinilala kaagad namin na hindi siguro kaya ng isang departamento lamang ang problema na hinaharap ng taong-bayan,鈥� said Marcos.

(You know what happened to our government today. What we are doing is immediately recognizing that perhaps one department alone cannot handle the problems faced by the people.)

鈥淜aya鈥檛 ang tawag po namin diyan ay [whole]-of-government approach. Lahat po ng buong gobyerno ay pinagsasama-sama namin,鈥� he added.

(That鈥檚 why we call it a [whole]-of-government approach. We are bringing together the entire government.)

He then vowed that the government would continue to provide for and support Filipinos in need.

The job fair led by the Department of Labor and Employment offered 3,600 job vacancies from 41 employers, comprising 38 local and three overseas companies.

It also featured a one-stop shop for employment pre-screening and advisory services provided by various national government agencies.

Government assistance was also provided to beneficiaries, as well as a two-part medical mission by the Department of Health which offered screening laboratory services, X-rays, consultations, vaccinations and other services.
