MANILA, Philippines — Congress remains committed to pushing for a robust real estate industry, which contributes to the economic-related “stability, progress, and opportunity” of Filipino families, according to House of Representatives Speaker Martin Romualdez.

“As apeaker of the House of Representatives, I fully recognize the vital role that real estate plays in our economy,” said Romualdez in a statement on Saturday.

“That is why we in Congress continue to support policies that foster a strong, competitive, and sustainable real estate sector—ensuring that businesses like RE/MAX thrive and that home ownership remains an achievable dream for many Filipinos,” Romualdez said in his message during the RE/MAX Philippines 25th anniversary gala.

He also congratulated the company for its achievements worldwide, specifically its top brokers during the recent RE/MAX R4 2025 Convention in Las Vegas.

“Out of 140,000 real estate agents globally, you have emerged as leaders—not just for RE/MAX, but for the entire Philippine real estate industry. Your achievements inspire others to strive for greater heights, proving once again that Filipino professionals are among the best in the world,” Romualdez said.
