3 street pushers busted in Lucena City; shabu worth P306,000 seized
LUCENA CITY — Police in this city arrested three drug suspects and seized P306,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday.
Lieutenant Colonel Dennis de Guzman, Lucena City police chief, reported Thursday that police drug enforcers held alias “Evad,” 24; “Kyla,” 27, and “Lady,” 33, after they sold P500 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Market View around 6:55 p.m.
The police confiscated five sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 15 grams with a standard Dangerous Drugs Board value of P102,000 at P6,800 per gram.
The seized shabu is worth P306,000 in the street market at the prevailing price of P20,400 per gram, the report added.
The report tagged the three arrested suspects as street-level pushers on the police watch list.
The Lucena police said they were still investigating the source of the suspected shabu peddled by the suspects.
The suspects were detained and are facing a charge of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
