MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday officially activated the Police Regional Office Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR).
Current Western Visayas police chief Brig. Gen. Jack Limpayos Wanky will head the newly established regional office, the PNP said in a statement.
The following officers will serve the following positions in the PRO NIR:
- Deputy Regional Director for Administration – Col. Dennis Araño Esguerra
- Chief of Regional Staff – Col. Gilbert Gorero
- Regional Operations Management Division Head – Col. Ronaldo Planco Palomo
The establishment of the PRO-NIR was in line with the National Police Commission (Napolcom) Resolution No. 2025-0055, issued last January 9, the PNP said.
The Napolcom resolution transfers the administrative supervision and operational control of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, the Siquijor Police Provincial Office and the Bacolod City Police Office from their respective previous regional offices to the PRO NIR.
