MANILA, Philippines — Hot weather with chances of rain is expected across the country on the first day of April due to the prevailing easterlies.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) gave this forecast at 4 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2025.
Pagasa weather specialist Chenel Dominguez noted that no low-pressure area has been monitored inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience cloudy skies and light rains due to the northeasterly wind flow.
“Para sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon, inaasahan natin ang mainit at maalinsangang tanghali hanggang hapon na may tyansa ng isolated rain shower o panandaliang pag-ulan dulot ng localized thunderstorm lalo na po sa hapon at gabi,” Dominguez said.
(For the rest of Luzon, expect hot and humid noon to afternoon with chances of isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening.)

The hot weather will also prevail in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao, where localized thunderstorms are expected.
“Pinapaalalahanan ang mga kababayan sa flashflood at pagguho ng lupa dala ng localized thunderstorm,” she warned.

Meanwhile, no gale warning is raised over the coastal areas of the country.
