LUCENA CITY — Three suspected big-time drug traffickers were arrested on Monday and Tuesday in buy-bust operations in Rizal and Laguna provinces.
Anti-illegal drugs operatives seized more than P1 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm in the two operations, the Police Region 4A reported.
Policemen in San Mateo, Rizal held “Jun,” and “Lyn” at 2:58 a.m. Tuesday after they sold P500 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Guinayang.

Seized from the suspect were one knot-tied plastic containing meth weighing 100 grams worth P680,000 and an undocumented caliber .9mm pistol loaded with two bullets.
In San Pablo City, Laguna, anti-narcotics agents nabbed alleged shabu peddler “Nold” in a sting operation at 7:35 p.m. on Monday in Barangay Sto. Cristo.
The suspect was caught with two plastic sachets of meth weighing 50 grams worth P340,000.
The police classified Nold as a high-value individual (HVI) in the local drug trade.
HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs or leaders/members of drug groups.
The three suspects are in police custody and are facing the corresponding criminal charges.
