LUCENA CITY 鈥� Police arrested 10 suspects in anti-illegal drugs operations on Tuesday, in Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal provinces.
The operations yielded more than P1.2 million worth of marijuana and shabu (crystal meth), the Region 4A police reported Wednesday.
Anti-illegal drug operatives in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna held 鈥淢arvin鈥� around 8:15 p.m. after he sold P3,000 worth of marijuana to an undercover cop in a transaction inside a subdivision in Barangay Kaingin.
Police seized from the suspect one plastic and three wrapped bundles containing dried leaves and fruiting tops of marijuana weighing six kilos valued at P720,000.
The report tagged the suspect as a high-value individual (HVI) in the illegal drug trade.
HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs, as well as leaders or members of illegal drug syndicates.
In Barangay Anabu 1-E in Imus, City, Cavite, provincial drug enforcement unit and local cops arrested 鈥淎tenta鈥� around 5:30 p.m.
The report said Atenta, also an HVI, yielded three sealed plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 50 grams worth P340,000.
Authorities also seized a mobile phone, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.
In Dasmari帽as City, also in Cavite, police nabbed 鈥淛oseph,鈥� 鈥淛ama,鈥� and 鈥淲illy鈥� after they sold a pack of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Sta. Lucia around 5 a.m.
The suspects, both street-level pushers, were caught with eight plastic sachets of meth worth P83,504.
In Rodriguez, RIzal, anti-narcotics agents held 鈥淩omira,鈥� and 鈥淔el鈥� in Barangay San Isidro around 8:30 p.m.
Seized from the suspects were four plastic sachets of shabu worth P69,360.
Earlier, in the same barangay, the same agents arrested 鈥淪ofia,鈥� 鈥淛un Mark,鈥� and 鈥淛uanito鈥� in another buy-bust operation.
Authorities confiscated five plastic sachets of meth worth P78,200.
The suspects are all on the local police watch list as street pushers.
All suspects are under police custody and will face complaints of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
