Iloilo students to benefit from water filter system

MANILA, Philippines — A school in Iloilo province has become the first recipient of the Encanto Water Project, which is a reverse osmosis (RO) filtration system generating 800 gallons of clean drinking water daily for its 996 students.

The RO process makes water undergo several stages of filtration to ensure that it adheres to Philippine national standards for drinking water.

The water sample tests, both pre- and post-installation, were conducted by SGS Philippines Inc. The donation was made possible by the Rotary Club of Makati-Paseo de Roxas D3830 and members of the Encanto family.

The water system was formally turned over to school principal Roland Genine in the presence of Guimbal, Iloilo, Vice Mayor Mary Ann Suyao Lujan.
