Free LRT2 rides for all passengers on April 9, for war vets April 5-11

MANILA, Philippines — Commuters will be treated to a free ride on the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT 2) on April 9 in celebration of the Day of Valor.
The LRT 2 will be free for all passengers next Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the train line’s management announced through a social media post on Thursday.
Meanwhile, veterans will be treated to free rides on the LRT 2 throughout the operating hours of the train line from April 5 to 11 in celebration of the Philippine Veterans’ Week.
To avail free rides on the LRT 2, veterans need only to show a valid identification card from the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) to the station’s security personnel.
Veterans may bring one companion each for their trips during this period.

The Metro Rail Transit 3 will also be offering free rides for war veterans from April 5 to 11, the Department of Transportation announced separately on Thursday.
