MANILA, Philippines – Some 600 runners who have the mind for fitness and the heart to share joined last Sunday’s Run to Share, spearheaded by the I Want To Share foundation.

Run to Share 2025 intends to raise funds for blood transfusion needed by children with cancer. The fund-raising is in coordination with the UP-Philippine General Hospital’s Department of Pediatrics Division of Hematology and Oncology.

Milka Romero, at center in blue-sleeved shirt, is joined by beneficiary children and families, and friends of Run to Share 2025.

“This is a joyful morning, seeing our many friends and runners who responded to our call to run and share with I Want to Share beneficiaries,” said Milka Romero, a young socio-civic, business and sports leader, who is part of the foundation’s organizing group.

I Want To Share has recently generated resources through various fund-raising activities for the medical needs of children diagnosed with cancer.

“It is also very inspiring to witness many families participating in this run, as well as in the others I have joined. We see them bonding together with this meaningful activity that promotes health, and helps adults unwind, too,” she added.

The Run to Share event started at 6am at Tower One of the Ayala Triangle, on the Sunday-morning vehicle-free Ayala Avenue in Makati City.

Featuring 5-kilometer and 3-kilometer runs, the event was held with the support of Vision Express, Nutribullet, Rockwell Run Club, Aika, Brand_It, and “Make It Happen, Make It Makati” movement.

Spotted among the early morning joiners were the volleyball players of Capital1 Solar Spikers, families of beneficiaries, and sports and movie personalities.
