President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. administers the oath-taking of 39 newly promoted star-ranked officers of the Philippine National Police at Malaca帽ang Palace on Monday, April 7, 2025. The group includes four Police Lieutenant Generals, 11 Police Major Generals, and 24 Police Brigadier Generals. MANILA, Philippines 鈥斅燩resident Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday urged newly promoted Philippine National Police (PNP) officials to let their actions 鈥渁lways be rooted in what is right鈥� and in what is 鈥渓egally ordered.鈥�
Speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of 39 Star-Ranked Officers of the PNP, Marcos reminded the officers to do their duties with utmost dedication, integrity, and accountability.

鈥淭he mantle you now wear carries with it the expectation that you will embody these values in every action, every decision, [and] every mission that you carry out. It is thus incumbent upon you to lead by example,鈥� he also said.
鈥淵ou have been entrusted with the daunting but noble responsibility of leadership鈥攖o guide, to discipline, [and] to inspire the men and women under your command,鈥� Marcos continued.

The President also tasked them to ensure that all PNP personnel are doing their duties with competence and trustworthiness, as they play a pivotal role in maintaining peace and order in the country.
鈥淩est assured the whole nation and I acknowledge and commend all the hard work that you do,鈥� Marcos also said.
