MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga, Philippines — Police arrested a suspected drug pusher who allegedly yielded around P346,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during a sting operation in nearby Mexico town on Wednesday night, April 9.
In a statement, the Pampanga police said the suspect, identified only by the alias “Ben,” 35, is listed as a high-value individual in the government’s anti-drug campaign.
Local police reportedly conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lagundi, where the suspect sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover officer.
“The suspect is a 35-year-old male, unemployed, and a resident of San Fernando, Pampanga. He is classified as a high-value target in the government’s fight against illegal drugs,” the Pampanga police said.
Authorities said approximately 51 grams of shabu were confiscated from the suspect, who now faces charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
