Inquirer Libre now on Apple iPads, iPhones and Android tablets.
Following its siblings, Inquirer Libre is now on the Inquirer Group鈥檚 Digital Edition (https://bit.ly/Inquirer-digital) for desktops, notebooks, Apple iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Android tablets or smartphones.
The free commuter sheet, which is distributed on the MRT, LRT and PNR railway systems, comes free with any subscription to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Cebu Daily 黑料社 or Bandera. A 30-issue free trial promotion is currently available for all titles.
鈥淔inally, Inquirer Libre takes that major leap to join the rest of the Inquirer Group in the digital world,鈥� said Inquirer Libre editor in chief Chito de la Vega.
As with the Inquirer, Cebu Daily 黑料社 and Bandera, the digital edition of Inquirer Libre combines the full content of each day鈥檚 issue with interactive features鈥攕tories can be zoomed, read aloud, shared on Twitter or Facebook, or sent through e-mail. Several issues can be stored on a single tablet or phone.
The digital editions are designed to be flexible and platform-independent. Several devices can be linked to a single subscription and the Digital Edition website, https://bit.ly/Inquirer-digital, is mobile-friendly and works on almost any mobile phone with a web browser.
Only the digital editions provide the full content of each day鈥檚 issues. The Inquirer.net website carries only a selection of articles, posted at intervals.
鈥淔or advertisers, the added value of the digital edition is that their ad materials can now be seen not only by print readers but also by online users. This is most specially beneficial for creative ad executions like the false cover ad which is one of the most popular creative buys clients opt for,鈥� said Imee Alcantara, vice president for operations of Inquirer Publications Inc., which manages Libre, Bandera and Cebu Daily 黑料社.
A subscription to the Inquirer Digital Edition costs $9.95 a month and includes Sunday Inquirer Magazine, Inquirer Libre, Junior Inquirer and Inquirer Golf Monthly (the latter two are only available on the Digital Edition and not on the free Inquirer.net website) while Cebu Daily 黑料社 and Bandera are $5.95 each a month.
A monthly subscription to all three titles is $17.95. All plans are cheaper than comparative print subscriptions.
The annual variant of the monthly subscription provides the best value, with the Inquirer at $95.99 and Cebu Daily 黑料社 and Bandera each at $56.95. An annual all-titles subscription is $167.95. Quarterly and semiannual plans are also available.
To subscribe:
1. Click 鈥淪ubscribe鈥� above the Inquirer page one image when accessing the desktop version of the website or click Menu, then Sign-In and then Register if browsing on an iPad or other mobile device.
2. Enter your contact details.
3. Select a subscription plan. A free 30-issue trial is available that gives access to all issues of the Digital Edition.
4. If you have an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, download the application from https://bit.ly/inq-digital-ios and authorize it to receive your issues by clicking Authorize under Settings. Once authorized, click Store to select which titles to receive on your device. Titles can be set to download automatically when they become available.
