JULY 1 marks the 46th Charter Day celebration of Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The city government has lined up activities for the event, which carries the theme 鈥淎 Legacy of Nurturing People First.鈥�
These include the Mayor鈥檚 Date with the Barangay Series started from June 15 to June 30, a city-wide plastic clean-up on June 29, followed by a Charter Day Mass and a City Hall Family Friday night out.
A Charter Day fun run: Run for Mabaw Reef signals the start of the activities on July 1, followed by a City Hall family day of fun games.
The Charter Day awards program will be held on July 2 at the Island City Mall activity center, highlighting the launching of the green initiatives for Tagbilaran, the Senior Citizen鈥檚 Code and the Millennium Development Goals 鈥� Family-based actions on children and their environs in the slums. There will also be an exhibit of the city鈥檚 milestones and the city government鈥檚 flagship programs from 2004 to 2012 at the activity center.
The event will culminate with a showcase of knowledge and skills by the different city schools entitled 鈥淎muma: Life Skills Festival for the City鈥檚 Children鈥� also at the activity center.
