HABAL DRIVER KILLED
A 45-YEAR-OLD habal-habal driver was shot dead by his neighbor in barangay Tulay, Danao City, northern Cebu.
Jose Toledo succumbed to two gunshot wounds in the back.
The suspect, Bonifacio Jica, 64, was arrested by police.
Police said a personal grudge was the motive of the killing.
Jica admitted killing Toledo, said police.
Police said Jica was upset at Toledo because the habal-habal driver had been acting like a bully in the barangay.
Police said Toledo went out of his house past noon last Saturday when he was shot by Jica.
Police said a wounded Toledo shouted for help. He was rushed by relatives to the Danao Provincial Hospital but he did not make it.

YOUNG MAN ELECTROCUTED
A 19-YEAR-OLD man was electrocuted after he touched a live wire in barangay Dinaliw, Danao City, northern Cebu.
Glenmer Perez was found unconscious hanging from a coconut tree after he accidentally touched a live wire owned by Cebu Electric Co.-2.
Police said Perez climbed a coconut tree to gather coconut frond locally known as palwa.
While reaching for a 鈥減alwa鈥�, Perez accidentally touched a live wire.
Residents in the area brought Perez to the Danao Provincial Hospital where he was declared dead by the attending doctor./REPORTER RHEA RUTH V. ROSELL
MAN DIES IN DANAO ROAD MISHAP
A MAN died after the bicycle he drove hit a tricycle in barangay Dunggoan, Danao City, northern Cebu last Saturday.
Cesar Almagro hit his head on the concrete pavement after he fell from his bicycle.
Police said a tricycle driven by Vanly Pugoy overtook another tricycle and cut Almagro off.
Almagro failed to stop right away and hit the rear portion of Pugoy鈥檚 tricycle.
Almagro was brought to a hospital in Danao where he was declared dead.
Police said Poguy, who was arrested after the accident, could be charged for homicide with damage to property./SWU INTERN AGNES DOMASIG
鈥橩ILLER PUNCH鈥�
A 45-YEAR-OLD man died after he was punched in the face by his neighbor in barangay Lamintac Norte, Medellin town, northern Cebu.
Marcianio Caparoso, a scrap buyer, was declared dead when he was brought to the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Bogo City.
Police said that about 3 p.m. last Saturday, Caparoso confronted Josephus Ope帽a, who had a fight with Caparoso鈥檚 son while playing basketball last Friday.
The two men figured in an argument when the 24-year Ope帽a, a barangay tanod, punched Caparoso.
Caparoso, who sustained a cut in the left eyebrow, ran after he was punched until he fell on the ground.
Neighbors rushed Caparoso to the hospital but he did not make it.
