Police report 3 explosions in Indian financial hub

MUMBAI—Three explosions hit busy locations late Wednesday in India’s business capital of Mumbai, where a terror siege three years ago killed 166 people.

“It must be a bomb blast,” Chhagan bhujbal, a state minister told a TV news channel. No details were immediately available on the cause.

ºÚÁÏÉç channels reported that a high alert was declared across the city.

The blasts hit the crowded neighborhood of Dadar, the famed jewelry market Jhaveri Bazaar and the busy business district of Opera House, an official at the city’s Police Control Room said. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of office policy.
