MANILA, Philippines — The househelper of a mother who lost her newborn baby at a Quezon City hospital is now being considered as a suspect in the abduction case.

Chief Superintendent Mario dela Vega, the Quezon City Police District director, said mother Ces de los Santos talked to the police about her maid’s possible involvement.  The police are withholding the name of the maid pending her investigation.

De los Santos was at the QCPD headquarters on Monday, to give her statement to investigators manning the women and children protection desk.
