MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III’s State of the Nation Address must have “more substance not soundbytes” and challenged him to become an “alternative to his predecessors by going down the path towards real development and industrialization,” a militant leader said Monday as his group gathered in Mendiola, near Malacañang.
“There is no change. Everything has risen except P-Noy’s [Aquino’s monicker] ratings, said Chester Amparo, Kilusan para sa Pambansang Demokrasya (KPD) secretary general, told .
In a separate interview with 990AM, Amparo said his group would be joining the bigger protest in Quezon City to make certain that Aquino’s agenda would be about improving the lives of the masses.
