Aquino speech should have ‘more substance, not sound bites’, says militant leader

MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III’s State of the Nation Address must have “more substance not soundbytes” and challenged him to become an “alternative to his predecessors by going down the path towards real development and industrialization,” a militant leader said Monday as his group gathered in Mendiola, near Malacañang.

In a separate interview with 990AM, Amparo said his group would be joining the bigger protest in Quezon City to make certain that Aquino’s agenda would be about improving the lives of the masses.
