鈥榃idening before new circumferential road鈥�
The road widening and improvement projects in Cebu City’s south district will be a “substitute” for a circumferential road project proposed in the city’s mountain barangays under the Metro Cebu Development Project (MCDP) 3.
Rep. Tomas Osmeña of Cebu City’s south district said these projects which he proposed will widen and connect existing road networks from the southern barangay of Guadalupe to sitio Sudlon in barangay Lahug in the north. They will also serve as a parallel road to the heavily congested N. Escario Street, he said.
The projects would later extend to barangay Tisa in the south passing the Villalon property where the Monterazzas Development housing projects are located, the congressman said. “This will simulate the circumferential road project. For now, we cannot yet spend for a circumferential road because it’s too monstrous already,” he told Cebu Daily 黑料社.
MCDP 3 included three components: the South Road Properties (SRP), the Cebu South Coastal Road (CSCR) and the Cebu Circumferential Road Project. Chief of Reporters Doris C. Bongcac
