LINGAYEN, Pangasinan—Eight fishermen were reunited with their families in Bolinao town in Pangasinan province  on Sunday, after spending four days in a  boat drifting in turbulent seas without contact from shore.

Gregorio Castrence, owner of the 14-ton Jomar Hurvey, said the fishermen arrived in Barangay (village) Balingasay in Bolinao from the coastal village of Dardarat in Cabugao town, some 30 kilometers north of Vigan City. The boat had drifted and docked in the Ilocos Sur capital on Saturday.

“They are all doing fine,” Castrence said by telephone.

The crew men were identified as Eddie Oribla, Rene Lebios, Ryan Lebios, Jerick Puda, Albin Puda, Norman Calicdan and Gringo Gagarao. Gabriel Cardinoza, Inquirer Northern Luzon
