MANILA, Philippines鈥揟he Makati court handling the serious illegal detention case against Janet Lim-Napoles will push through with her arraignment on Monday, Sept. 23.
This was the order issued by Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 150 judge Elmo Alameda on Friday afternoon, in resolving the motion to defer arraignment filed by Napoles鈥 counsel on Sept. 18.
Alameda, in a one-page decision, said he found 鈥渘o compelling reason to defer the arraignment鈥 of Napoles.
In the same order, Alameda also denied a motion for reconsideration which Napoles鈥 camp filed, which sought to reverse Alameda鈥檚 Sept. 13 decision to junk their plea for a 鈥渂ill of particulars.鈥
