Telcos restore 94 percent of network services

SMART Communications Inc. and Sun Cellular announced that they have already reestablished cellular coverage in several municipalities in Biliran, Eastern Samar and Western Samar, bringing restoration of network services to 94 percent of the cities and municipalities in the Visayas affected by supertyphoon Yolanda.

These new areas include Kawayan in Biliran; the municipalities of Dolores, Llorente, Maydolong, San Julian, San Policarpio and Sulat in Eastern Samar; and the municipality of San Jose de Buan in Western Samar.

Network services in all the towns and municipalities of Antique, Bohol, Cebu, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental and Southern Leyte have already been fully restored.
