Passenger ship stranded off Talisay waters

MANILA, Philippines – A ship with 208 passengers and 12 crews ran aground at sea in the waters of Lauis ledge, Talisay City, police said Sunday.

MV Wessam Express 8 was rescued by the Philippine National Police Regional Maritime Office and the Philippine Coastguard after it was reported Saturday night, said PNP spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr.

There was no reported casualty but Cruz said investigation was underway.
