ZAMBOANGA CITY — Unidentified men on Thursday evening abducted a scion of a Filipino-Chinese family in  Pagadian City.

Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca, spokesperson of the Western Mindanao police, said Stephen Tan Yankee Mago, 19, was snatched around 9:30 p.m. along Cabrera St. Barangay (village) Gatas.

It wasn’t immediately clear what the victim, an engineering student at the Southern Mindanao College, was doing there at the time of the incident.

But Huesca said the perpetrators used a Ford pickup truck with plate number KJS 723 in fleeing with the victim toward a still unknown direction.

“Law enforcers are still conducting deeper probe on the latest abduction,” he said.
