PESHAWAR, Pakistan—Police say two explosions have killed at least 68 people and wounded dozens more at a paramilitary training center in northwestern Pakistan.

The attack Friday in Charsadda district is the bloodiest since US forces killed Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad, Pakistan, on May 2. Militant groups have promised to avenge the terrorist leader’s death.

At least one of the blasts at the gate of the center was caused by a suicide bomber. Senior police official Nisar Khan says nearly all of the dead were recruits at the Frontier Constabulary training site.
