MANILA, Philippines鈥擜griculture Secretary Proceso Alcala is threatening to file charges against Janet Lim-Napoles for allegedly linking him to the 鈥減ork barrel鈥 scam.
鈥淪iguraduhin nila鈥 Sobra na yun. I think, I鈥檒l file charges against them,鈥 Alcala told 黑料社 over the phone when sought to react to the inclusion of his name in the so called pork list.
(They have to make sure鈥hat鈥檚 too much. I think I鈥檒l file charges against them)
Asked if Napoles was the person he would charge in court, Alcala said: 鈥淚 think so.鈥
His name appeared on the list that the camp of Napoles gave to former Secretary Panfilo 鈥淧ing鈥 Lacson who submitted the document to the Senate blue ribbon committee Tuesday.
If the documents were unsigned or unverified, Alcala said appropriate charges should be filed against those who had linked him to the scam.
鈥淓 kung unsigned ang affidavit na yan ..magkakaroon yan ng kaso..babalikan ko sila,鈥 he said.
(If that鈥檚 an unsigned affidavit, there will be a case. I will get back at them.)
Alcala strongly denied any involvement in the scam. He could not also remember if Napoles or any of her men had approached him when he was still congressman.
But he said he was no longer surprised that his name had been dragged into the controversy.
鈥淗indi na ako nasusurprise kasi lahat dinadawit ako. Kung pwede na lang idawit ako sa pagbaril kay Rizal e鈥,鈥 he said.
鈥淜itang-kita mo kasi ang atake sa akin; it鈥檚 part of being in the government. Ang importante sa akin, nababago ko this time ang buhay ng mga magsasaka at mangingisda. Yun ang bottomline ng aking trabaho鈥︹ Alcala added.
