MANILA, Philippines鈥擳he head of the medical team tapped to handle the medical case of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles has recommended her to be discharged on May 29.
Dr. Florentina Villanueva, an obstetrician-gynecologist leading the medical team, said on Monday that Napoles is already in good condition to be released from the Ospital ng Makati (OsMak).
鈥淢rs. Napoles said 鈥榟alos wala ng bleeding鈥� (there is almost no bleeding),鈥� Villanueva said, taking the聽witness stand before the Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 150鈥�.
She said the detained businesswoman had been 鈥渞esponding well鈥� to medications and treatments.
She added that Napoles was 鈥渃onversive and alert鈥� when she visited the patient who was suffering from recurring vaginal bleeding.
But the defense lawyers argued that earlier Monday, their client told them that she was experiencing bleeding again.
Napoles鈥� counsel, Stephen David, advised the OsMak doctors to 鈥渃onduct verification鈥� and check the current condition of Napoles.
