MANILA, Philippines鈥擜t least听four members听of the听Nacionalista听Party (NP) are being considered听for higher听positions in 2016, Senator听Antonio 鈥淪onny鈥澨齌rillanes听IV said on听Tuesday.
Trillanes, an NP member, did not听identify the four,听though he had earlier admitted听that he was planning to seek a higher post听in听the next elections.
鈥淚 can鈥檛 speak for the others听pero听sa听pagkakaalam听ko听ho听apat听po听kaming听tinitingnan听so kung听ano听man ho听yan,听maganda听ho听ang听usapan听kasi听eventually, the听group or the organization that we鈥檒l be forming e听madadagdag听sa听isa鈥檛听isa听kung听sino听man听po听ang听mapipili,鈥澨� he听 said in a radio interview.
(I can鈥檛 speak for the others听but as far I know, there are four of us who are听being considered so whatever听it is, the discussion is good because eventually, the group or the organization听 that we鈥檒l be forming听will add to the support of whoever will be chosen.)
Trillanes听said that in the meantime, the听party president,听former Senator Manny听Villar, has given the party members, who are planning to听join the 2016 race, a go-signal to start making rounds and get the听pulse of the public.
鈥淧ero听at some point听po,听babalik听po听kami at听magde-decide kami as a party kung听ano听po听ang听pinakamagandang听desisyon听para听sa听ating听bayan,鈥� the senator said.
(But at some听point, we will return and come up with a decision that is best for听our country.)
