Hour-long fire guts Quezon City house

MANILA, Philippines—A fire gutted a house in Quezon City on Thursday afternoon,‎ but no injuries were reported.

Quezon City Fire Department officials said the blaze engulfed the house of a certain Leonardo Medina on Sapphire of Fern Village in Barangay (village) Pasong Tamo, Tandang Sora.

Medina survived the fire with two of his relatives and other houses nearby were spared.

In a ‎radio report, the house owner said the fire was caused ‎by “faulty electrical wiring” on the second floor of his house.
