MANILA, Philippines 鈥� The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) continued to implement rotating power outages on Monday, six days since typhoon 鈥淕lenda鈥�(international name:听Rammasun) struck parts of the Philippines.
鈥淭here will be a 2-3 hour rotational brownout due to power supply insufficiency,鈥澨齅eralco听said in a statement.
From 11 a.m. To 2 p.m., the following areas will be affected:
- 叠耻濒补肠补苍:听惭补谤颈濒补辞,听惭别测肠补耻补测补苍
- Cavite:听Bacoor, Cavite City,听Dasmari帽as, General听Trias, Imus,听Kawit,听Noveleta, Rosario,听Trece听Martires听City
- 尝补驳耻苍补:听尝颈濒颈飞
- Metro Manila: Caloocan City,听Malabon, Valenzuela.
Radyo听Inquirer 990AM earlier reported that the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) raised red alert over the Luzon power grid because of insufficient energy.
鈥淕lenda鈥檚鈥� strong winds toppled electric poles and downed transmission lines disconnecting many power plants from the grid.
As of 6 a.m. On Monday,听Meralco听said 95 percent of its franchise area already has power.
鈥淧arts of听Batangas,听Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Metro Manila, Quezon and Rizal are still being restored,鈥� it added.
