The Comelec also requested the DILG’s assistance in providing local government units’ transportation facilities for voter registration machines (VRMs), forms and supplies as well as Comelec personnel in the conduct of satellite registration of voters.

It can be recalled that the poll body, in a separate resolution, said that satellite registration shall be held in barangay halls, public/private schools, commercial establishments and other public places in cities/municipalities nationwide to ensure wider voter participation. Tina G. Santos
