Pangilinan stops NFA chief’s resignation

MANILA, Philippines—Presidential food security adviser Francis Pangilinan said Friday National Food Authority Administrator Arthur Juan had offered to resign over charges he extorted millions of pesos from a rice trader but Pangilinan persuaded him not to.

Pangilinan said Juan also denied the allegation made by rice trader Jojo Soliman.
