MANILA, Philippines鈥揂 low pressure area east of Eastern Samar may bring rain to areas in southern Philippines, according to the weather bureau.

In its Monday morning weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA was spotted 770 kilometers east of聽Borongan, Eastern Samar, at 4 a.m.

The聽Visayas聽and the regions of聽Caraga, Northern Mindanao and Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate聽rainshowers聽and thunderstorms,聽Pagasa聽said.

Pagasa聽added that Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated聽rainshowers聽and thunderstorms.
