MANILA, Philippines鈥揓ust hours after a Senate inquiry on the recent Metro Rail Transit-3 accident that injured 38 people, 鈥巓perations of the MRT got partially disrupted anew on Monday afternoon.
Atty. Hernando Cabrera, acting MRT spokesperson, said over Twitter that the delay was due to 鈥巘he calibration of the MRT鈥檚 signaling system.
But he clarified that the delay was not due to technical glitches and defects in MRT trains.
鈥淢RT3 signaling system being calibrated, all trains required to stop at nearest station,鈥 he said.
鈥嶤abrera said only trips from Taft Avenue to Shaw Boulevard stations and vice versa will be operational.
An hour after, the MRT went back to its full line operations at around 5:50 p.m.
