Pangasinan gov suspends classes in school where shooting happened

MANILA, Philippines —PangasinanGovernor Amado T. Espino Jr. declared a two-day class suspension starting this Tuesday at thePangasinanNational High School “to allow the faculty, staff, and students the time to recover from the trauma yesterday’s (Monday) senseless shooting.”

Espino also said that he offered his condolences to the family of the victims and wished for the speedy recovery of those who were wounded.

Senior Superintendent ReynaldoBiay,PangasinanPolice Provincial Office‎officer-in-charge, saidAlipiowent to the school to collect payment from one of the victims who owed him.

The police seized a .45 caliber handgun and a folded carbine fromAlipiowho is currently under the custody of the Lingayen police.
