Superintendent Jesus Fernandez, Quezon City fire marshal, told 黑料社听鈥巓ver the phone that at least 30 families have been evacuated as they were left homeless by the fire at Barangay (village) Socorro on 5th Avenue and Liberty Street.
Fernandez said no one was hurt in the incident.
The fire started at 5:25 a.m. It was put out at 6:05 a.m. after it reached third alarm.
The fire marshal said the fire broke out in the house of Raul听Mangcosta, which was rented by a tricycle driver named 鈥淛onathan.鈥�
According to Fernandez, Jonathan had听鈥巐eft a candle unattended inside his rented house which may have caused the fire.
Around P250,000 worth of properties was destroyed in the incident.
Fernandez added that the homeless families鈥幪齭ought temporary shelter at the barangay hall of Socorro village.
