MANILA, Philippines鈥揂 female call center agent allegedly moonlighting as a drug peddler 鈥巜as nabbed by anti-narcotics agents in a buy-bust operation inside a fast-food restaurant along General McArthur Avenue in Cubao, Quezon City.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives arrested Jenny Tecson, alias 鈥淛elai,鈥 of Escopa IV village in Project 4, after selling a plastic bag of 鈥渟habu,鈥 or methamphetamine hydrochloride to a poseur buyer.
The operation was made a day after PDEA agents seized on Monday P5 million peso worth of 鈥渟habu鈥 from two suspected drug pushers also at a fast-food chain inside Ali Mall in Cubao.
Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac, PDEA director general, said in a Friday statement that Tecson is a watch-listed drug personality in Quezon City.
鈥嶰n Tuesday afternoon, Tecson sold in a buy-bust operation聽a transparent plastic bag containing white crystalline substance suspected to be 鈥渟habu,鈥 weighing approximately 175 grams to a PDEA agent in exchange for the P500 marked bill.
A case for violating section 5, or selling dangerous drugs, under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 have been lodged against the female suspect.
