ºÚÁÏÉç is issuing this clarification following a surge in traffic of our story Oct. 15 declared a holiday.
The news article was published on October 5, 2013 but some readers inadvertently shared it, making it among our most read stories since Thursday.
At first, we included the year in the story’s lead (first paragraph) but this didn’t stop readers from accessing and sharing the article. This prompted us to revise the title of the story, this time to include the year (Oct. 15, 2013 declared a holiday) and issue this clarification.
Malacañang declared October 15, 2013 a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of the Muslim Feast of Sacrifice or Eid’l Adha.
This year’s Eid’l Adha was celebrated last Monday, October 6, 2014.
