MRT passenger rushed to hospital for chest pain

MANILA, Philippines鈥擜 female passenger of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT 3) on Friday morning was rushed to the hospital after experiencing chest pains.

General manager Roman Buenafe told 黑料社 that Maria Lea Castillo, 37, experienced chest pains while waiting in line with her husband at North Avenue Station.

Buenafe said Castillo was rushed to the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City through an ambulance.

The 37-year old passenger was accompanied by her husband and MRT personnel.

Buenafe said initial findings from the hospital said Castillo had a 鈥渉eart anomaly.鈥

The MRT official said the passenger was also discharged on Friday morning.

In recent months, the MRT has drawn sharp criticisms from its riders due to long queues at its train stations as well as its dysfunctional elevators, escalators and comfort rooms.
