Cudia was expelled from the PMA on his senior year after allegedly lying as to why he was late for class.

Lying is a violation in the academy, where there is a strict implementation of the Honor Code that says 鈥渙ne must not lie, cheat and steal nor tolerate those who do.鈥

According to lawyer Persida Acosta, Cudia鈥檚 legal counsel, the dismissed PMA cadet is considered a bachelor鈥檚 degree holder since he 鈥渃ompleted all academic requirements鈥 at the PMA.

Eligible for law school?

Acosta said his dismissal from the country鈥檚 premiere military school would only affect his eligibility to be a commissioned soldier.

鈥淲hat he cannot acquire is the second personality of a PMAer, which is to be commissioned as a soldier,鈥 she said.

Cudia鈥檚 camp has asked the high court to allow him to have his diploma and other school records 鈥渟o he can start a new life.鈥

But the Supreme Court on February affirmed the decision of the PMA dismissing him from the academy for violating its Honor Code.

Cudia鈥檚 camp, however, has asked the Supreme Court to reconsider its ruling.

In a 28-page motion for reconsideration, Cudia said that his right to due process was violated when he was dismissed.
