After the telephone lines of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) went down, the lines of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) are now down.

“Please be informed that the PLDT lines at the OWWA Central Office are currently down,” OWWA said in an advisory Friday.

“We advise the public to use the Operations Center cellphone number 0917-898-6992 for their queries until further notice,” it said.

OWWA did not cite the reason for the disruption of their telephone service.

Last April 8, the DFA issued an advisory that the telephone lines of the DFA Action Center are down.

PLDT is also the telephone service provider of the DFA action center.

In July of 2014, the DFA central office in Pasay City was unable to receive incoming calls due to maintenance work by PLDT. IDL
