cart0528Some people take their work home, but several members of the Aquino administration apparently took their home—including entire families—to work instead.

Consider Budget Secretary Florencio Abad who has nine relatives in the government, and Environment Secretary Ramon Paje, who likewise listed nine family members in the workplace in his 2013 statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN).

Abad’s daughter Julia heads the Presidential Management Staff, while his wife, Henedina, is a deputy speaker at the House of Representatives. According to Secretary Abad’s 2014 SALN, three more nieces and four nephews are in the government. A nephew works in the House, while one niece is a director at the Office of the Appointments Secretary under the Office of the President.
