Did you know: La Liga Filipina

/ 04:16 AM July 03, 2015

The La Liga Filipina was founded by Jose Rizal in Manila on July 3, 1892. The reformist society whose members included Andres Bonifacio and Apolinario Mabini was considered the last resort of the propaganda movement earlier sustained by Graciano Lopez Jaena and Marcelo H. del Pilar. Branded a subversive by the Spanish authorities, Rizal was arrested and deported to Dapitan. La Liga was disbanded afterward.
