The public satisfaction rating of Vice President Jejomar Binay has suffered a nine-point drop in September compared to his rating last June, the latest poll by Social Weather Stations (SWS) revealed.
The results of the September 2 to 5 survey, which was first published in BusinessWorld on Tuesday, showed that Binay had a 鈥済ood鈥� net satisfaction rating of +33 (58 percent satisfied against 25 percent dissatisfied) in the third quarter of 2015, a nine-point decrease from his +42 rating last June.
The vice president has a steady 鈥済ood鈥� public satisfaction rating since December 2014.
The SWS said that a +70 net satisfaction rating is 鈥渆xcellent鈥�; +50 to +69 as 鈥渧ery good鈥�; +30 to +49 as 鈥済ood鈥�; +10 to +29 as 鈥渕oderate鈥�; +9 to -9 as 鈥渘eutral鈥�; -10 to -29, 鈥減oor鈥�; -30 to -49 as 鈥渂ad鈥�; -50 to -69 as 鈥渧ery bad鈥�; and -70 and below as 鈥渆xecrable.鈥�

Mixed results
Meanwhile, public satisfaction ratings of other key government officials drew mixed results.
Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno suffered a downgrade in her net satisfaction rating, falling seven points to a 鈥渘eutral鈥� +4 (33 percent satisfied, 29 percent dissatisfied) from her 鈥渕oderate鈥� +11 (37 percent satisfied, 25 percent dissatisfied) last June.
House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. maintained his 鈥渘eutral鈥� satisfaction rating but suffered a four-point dip from June鈥檚 +9 to September鈥檚 +5 (34 percent satisfied, 29 percent dissatisfied).
Meanwhile, Senate President Franklin Drilon鈥檚 net satisfaction rating recovered by 13 points: from a 鈥渕oderate鈥� +29 in June to a 鈥済ood鈥� +42 (61 percent satisfied, 18 percent dissatisfied) in September.
On the other hand, public institutions also gained an increase in their net satisfaction ratings: the Senate posted a 鈥済ood鈥� +44 rating, the House of Representatives now has a 鈥渕oderate鈥� +26 rating and the Cabinet with a 鈥渕oderate鈥� +16.
The Supreme Court鈥檚 net satisfaction rating suffered a downgrade and dropped five points: from June鈥檚 鈥済ood鈥� +32 to September鈥檚 鈥渕oderate鈥� +27.
