The toppled tower was part of the transmission system that brings power from Kibawe, Bukidnon to the Simuay, Sultan Kudarat station—which in turn supplies power to this city and portions of Maguindanao and North Cotabato.

Arlene Hepiga, Cotabato Light communications officer, said efforts to shift power loads from the Simuay station to the Tacurong 69-Kilovolt line only succeeded Friday morning. She said power supply was now stable here.
