The website of the University of Santo Tomas hospital has been defaced by hackers who protested the non-admission of a woman in labor because she and her husband could not pay the P20,000 deposit.
The site was compromised by the group that introduced itself as 鈥淕lobal Security Hackers.鈥�

In its message, the group scored the alleged refusal of hospital resident Dr. Anna Liezel Sahagun to admit Siarra Pelayo, who was about to give birth to her second child last Feb. 19. Pelayo and her husband Andrew purportedly could not pay the required deposit.
In a lengthy post which has since become viral, Andrew narrated their ordeal. He said Sahagun, upon learning that they could not produce the amount, referred them to a government hospital despite the delicate condition of his wife鈥檚 pregnancy.
They went to Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center but returned to UST Hospital after learning that the JRMMC had no available incubator.
When they returned to UST, they were referred to East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City, where she underwent an operation. She survived but her child did not.
鈥淣apakamali ng iyong ginawa Dra. Sahagun Sumumpa ka sa iyong tungkulin para magligtas ng Buhay, Hindi Unahin ang Pera, Isa itong malaking paglabag sa iyong Sinumpaang Tungkulin at Hindi namin ito hahayaan na mabali wala lang,鈥� the hacker group鈥檚 message read.
(Dr. Sahagun, what you did was wrong. You have sworn to save lives not to prioritize money. Your act is a violation of your sworn duty and we can鈥檛 just let it pass.)
The group also asked authorities to conduct an investigation on the matter.
鈥淚to rin ay isang mensahe sa ating kinauukulan na Magsagawa ng imbestigasyon sa pangyayaring ito. Kami ay taimtim na nakikiramay sa mga naulila,鈥� the group said.

Sahagun and the UST hospital have yet to respond to the accusation of the Pelayos.
Fellow doctors defended Sahagun, saying she only followed hospital protocol and urged netizens to refrain from humiliating the doctor on social media. AJH
