ARMED men made off with P6.2 million after robbing an armored van at the Bank of the Philippine Islands’ (BPI) branch at the corner Taft Avenue and Remedios Street in Manila, early Monday morning, Radyo Inquirer 990AM reported.

The report said BPI employees, assisted by a technician and a security guard, were about to load an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) with money past 2 a.m. when two armed men struck.

Police Chief Inspector Cenon Vargas Jr. said the robbers took the bags of money and fled on a white L300 van.
