The Iglesia Ni Cristo on Tuesday asked for public understanding after its medical and dental mission caused heavy traffic on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.
鈥淣agpapasalamat po kami sa patuloy na pang-unawa ng mga kababayan natin na naantala ang paglalakbay dahil sa pagbigat ng daloy ng trapiko sa Commonwealth Avenue,鈥� Edwil Zabala, INC spokesamn told听黑料社.
(We are thankful for the understanding that our fellowmen had shown for the delay in their travel time due to heavy traffic on Commonwealth Avenue.)
Motorists on Tuesday experienced heavy traffic on Commonwealth Avenue听between Sandiganbayan and Litex road because some portions were closed due to the Iglesia event.

Zabala said the Iglesia is conducting an outreach program called 鈥淟ingap sa Mamamayan.鈥澨� Loosely translated it means Compassionate Care for the People.
鈥淎ng Iglesia ni Cristo ay kasalukuyang nagsasagawa ng Lingap sa Mamamayan na susundan ng isang Pamamahayag ng mga Salita ng Diyos,鈥� he said.
(The Iglesia ni Cristo is currently conducting 鈥楥ompassionate Care for the People鈥� that will be followed by 鈥楨xpression of God鈥檚 Words鈥�.)
He said the venue was chosen because it was near the residents for whom the services are intended to.
鈥淪apat ang lawak ng site para sa mga taong humiling na mabigyan ng serbisyo. Malapit sa tinutuluyan ng mga taong pangunahing paglilingkuran para di na sila magbiyahe. Sapat ang lapit sa compound na puwedeng paglagakan ng mga gamit medikal at goods na ipamamahagi,鈥� he said.
(The site has enough space for the people asking for services. It鈥檚 near their homes so they don鈥檛 have to travel anymore. The distance of the compound is appropriate also to put up the medical equipment and distribute the goods.) TVJ
