Laguna pawnshop loses P300K cash, checks to robbers
SAN PEDRO CITY, Laguna — A group of robbers broke into a pawnshop in Sta. Rosa City in Laguna province on Wednesday morning, carting away P300,000 worth of cash and checks, police said.
Insp. Roselle Orate, Laguna police information officer, said the robbers entered the St. Rose money changer and pawnshop by boring a hole through the floor of the establishment in Barangay Balibago.
Orate said Claro Ignacio, the shop owner, discovered the robbery at 7:45 a.m.
The robbers took away P100,000 in cash and checks worth P200,000. SFM
