DAVAO CITY鈥擧e is home.

Rodrigo Duterte is back in his hometown Davao City two days after his inauguration as the country鈥檚 16th聽Philippine President.

A GMA 黑料社 report said Duterte arrived via private plane in the city鈥檚 old airport along with his common law wife Cielito 鈥淗oneylet鈥 Avancena and 12-year-old daughter Veronica.

He was also accorded military honors by the Philippine Air Force upon his arrival.

Duterte came back to Davao City after overseeing the change of command ceremonies of Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Ronald 鈥淏ato鈥 de la Rosa and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Lt Gen. Ricardo Visaya.

He also had a memorable inauguration on Thursday as he conducted his first official Cabinet meeting, hosted a diplomatic reception, and attended a dinner with residents in Tondo.

On Friday, his son Paolo said his father would like to split his work week shuttling between Manila and Davao.

鈥淗e will spend three days in Manila and spend three days in Davao City,鈥 the incumbent Davao City vice mayor told reporters here.
